I ordered the monkey and it is just adorable. The bag is made of neoprene which makes it very durable. The back of the backpack is mesh and it has thick nylon straps. The back is a perfect size for a toddler going off to daycare or preschool. The zippers have little balls at the ends to make it easy for little fingers to grab. There is the main zipper that opens backpack. There is one half-height pocket inside as well as a padded flap that folds down to create the base of the backpack. One the outside front there is a zipper pocket just under the monkey nose. There are also two mesh open-top pockets on the sized. Overall I am very pleased with the design and quality of this backpack.
